About Belladonna Patterns

Welcome to Belladonna Patterns - created by Emily Bourke, an artist, sewist and entrepreneur! Emily has been sewing for about 20 years and has her Bachelor of Arts with a major in Visual Arts. When Emily was laid off of her corporate career, she asked herself "if I could do anything in the world, what would I do?" And what came to her mind? A sewing pattern business!

Emily is inspired by nature, history and of course fashion. She endeavours to add a little bit of whimsy to each of her patterns. Whether that's a puffy sleeve, a bit of lace, or a glimmer of sparkle - each pattern is meant to make it's wearer feel a little more magical. She and her photographer/husband, Babis love to attend Renaissance Faires, Fairy Festivals and Comic Cons - where Emily gets to see what everyone in the sewing community is making for themselves.
