What is Belladonna Patterns?

Belladonna Patterns is a sewing pattern business inspired by witchy, renaissance, historical and whimsical fashion. Designer and owner, Emily Bourke, endeavours to create designs that allow sewists to embrace their magical side, whether that's with more elaborate garments, or every-day wear clothing items - make it to exactly what you want it to be! 

Are your patterns beginner-friendly?

While some of our patterns are best suited to advanced beginner to intermediate sewists, we do have patterns suited to first-time/beginner sewists. The Persephone Top in particular is a good starting point for those still learning!

How do I receive my pattern after purchase?

After purchase, you'll receive two emails. The first will be your order confirmation, which includes your payment and order info. The second will be your digital download email, which will include the pattern PDFs and the sewing instruction booklet. If you're not seeing one or both of these emails, make sure to check your spam/junk folder, and then feel free to reach out to our Contact Us page. 

What sizes do your patterns come in?

Belladonna Patterns has a focus on size inclusivity - everyone deserves to feel magical in their clothing! Most of our patterns come in sizes 2 - 36, with only one exception - the Persephone Top is currently a different sizing option but we're working on expanding that pattern's size range. 

Can I sell garments made from your patterns?

You may! We request that production size of each pattern is kept to a maximum of 50 garments and kindly request that credit is given to Belladonna Patterns where applicable. 

Do you offer refunds?

Due to the nature of digital download products, Belladonna patterns are non-refundable. However, we understand that technical issues can occur. More information on our refund policy can be found here.

How can I print the patterns?

All patterns include printing instructions on the first page of the pattern, as well as instructions in the sewing booklet that comes in your digital download. Belladonna offers A4/US Letter as well as A0 copy shop versions of all our patterns. A4/US Letter can be printed at home with compatible printers, and both A0 and A4/US Letter can be printed at your local copy shop. 

Do you take custom pattern requests?

While we're not open for commissions or requests, we're always interested to know what kind of patterns sewists are looking for! Please feel free to reach out on social media or our contact us page and let us know if you're hoping for any patterns in particular. 

How can I stay updated on new pattern releases?

Feel free to sign up for our Newsletter! Emily keeps her subscribers up-to-date on all her activities with Belladonna, including pattern development, upcoming sales, exclusive discounts and pattern release dates. 

Why should I make my own clothes?

Clothing making is a time honoured tradition and craft! Along with carrying on this skill into the present and future, making one's own clothes reduces waste from Fast-Fashion and allows the wearer to have their own unique, perfectly tailored, and magical garment!
